Namba Station in Osaka is one of the major stations of the City. The area surrounding the station is very interesting and vibrant. Furthermore, many people transit there on their way to other interesting areas of the Kansai region. Eggs 'n Things

Eggs 'n Things is located a 5-minute walk from the Namba Station. This restaurant is extremely popular for its Hawaiian pancakes that are covered with a mountain of whipped cream! You get to choose the toppings on your pancakes so you'll get exactly what you want. Omelets are also customizable. You should probably choose the very delicious eggs benedict if you're looking for something savory. Most of the menu items are between 1,000 and 1,500 yen.

Micasadeco and Cafe

Micasadeco and Cafe is located a 3-min walk from the Namba Station. Perhaps you know western pancakes, but did you know that in Japan, pancakes are sometimes made in a special way so that they are incredibly fluffy? You can try that kind of pancake at Micasadeco. Look how thick they are! You can have them plain or with ricotta cheese, coconut custard, and in many other ways. There are some sausages, eggs and yogurt dishes on the menu as well. Expect to pay between 1,000 to 2,000 yen.

Marufuku Cafe

Marufuku Cafe is located to the east of the Namba station at about a 5-minute walking distance. You should go there primarily to get a feel of the traditional kisaten cafe. These are a style of Japanese cafes that were very popular in the olden days. You'll see that there is a lot of Showa-era authenticity to the decor. The place serves light meals and rather expensive coffees that are really delicious.

Tables Cafe

Tables Cafe is about a 3-minute walk to the north of the Namba Station. This place serves pancakes but also thin crepes, both savory and sweet kinds. Your meal will be about 1,500 yen, and you'll have access to a good salad and drink bar with your order. For a hearty breakfast, you might want to try the bacon and cheese crepe which comes with a hanjuku tamago (half-boiled egg). The drink bar has coffee, tea, milk and fruit juices.

Cafe Elk

Cafe Elk is located at a 12-minute walk to the north of the Namba Station or a 4-minute walk from the Yotsubashi Station. The place serves fluffy pancakes for about 1,000 to 1,500 yen. They have a mix of sweet and savory choices. The caramel and orange pancake is particularly good. To any pancake dish, you can add 250 yen to get a coffee. For 680 yen, you can get a 3D cappuccino such as the ones shown below! Is this pushing latte art to the next level or what?
