Tokyo Underground Ramen is a ramen shop located in the Ikebukuro station (outside of the gate). There is often a waiting line in front of the shop, so it's easy to access and find.

First, you need to purchase a ticket for your ramen. "Tsukemen (つけめん)", 830 yen, is their signature menu so just go for it if you don't know what to get. They also have other options like regular ramen and spicy tsukemen.

Most popular menu "Tsukemen"

Tsukemen is a type of ramen where thick dipping soup and chilled ramen noodles are served separately. As many as 200 bowls of their tsukemen are eaten each day.

Super rich soup

The dipping soup is unusually rich and flavorful. It is made from the broth of some kinds of seafood and pork simmered for a long time. A bit of the spicy and citrusy flavor add a kick to the thick soup.

Tender roast pork

It has thick pieces of roast pork which are very tender and juicy.

Homemade ramen noodles

Their homemade noodles are flatter and have a chewy, smooth texture, which go well with the soup. You can choose from 200g and 300g for no extra charge.

Lastly...

They have some table seats as well as counter seats, which is suitable for families as well. If you are a ramen lover, you should try the popular, sophisticated tsukemen at Tokyo Underground Ramen Ganja in Ikebukuro!
