Bar Spade

This is a popular nightlife spot in Naha that is very foreigner friendly. The bartender speaks perfect English. Drinks are only about ¥500, and they're pretty strong too! You can play pool and baby foot for free. The sound is good and it has a chill atmosphere. There are about 35 seats. It's a pretty ideal place for a night out of drinking with some friends, or just to meet new people if you are alone.

Infiniti Bar

If location is important to you than it's hard to beat what Infiniti has to offer. Located in Nakagami-gun, on a third floor overlooking the sea, you get a stunning view from the terrace seats. There are many foreigners that go there and it's a local's favourite as well. They serve pretty good pasta dishes and seafood and they offer a wide range of drinks from ¥500 to ¥800. They sometimes have DJs come over so the place gets a party vibe during the later hours during which it's easy to socialize.

Okinawa's Very Own "Penguin Fairy Bar"

There's also a famous Penguin dining bar in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, but Okinawa has its very own run by the same company. Located in a back alley of Naha city, the bar has a big tank with penguins in it that you can look at while you dine and drink. The food is mostly Italian and Japanese with pizzas, noodles and rice dishes. You can also get the Okinawa's famous "goya champuru" for something more local. Prices are pretty reasonable most dishes are below ¥1,200 and drinks are between ¥700 and ¥1,000.
Located a 5-minute walk from the Miebashi station.

Monkey Bar

While we're at it, let's introduce another animal-themed bar! If you like the penguin bar, perhaps you'll be glad to know that there's also a squirrel monkey restaurant and bar in Okinawa. It costs about ¥3,000 for dinner. You can see the monkeys through a large window while you dine and drink. The little animals are pretty curious. You can't touch them directly but you can interact with them through the window. They tend to be interested in what you are eating or holding in your hands.

DOJO Bar: A Karate and Kobudo Themed Bar

Did you know that Okinawa is the birthplace of karate? Not only does it have a rich karate culture that went global but they also have another lesser-known Okinawan martial art called kobudo. The bar is a tribute to these practices. It's a popular gathering spot for people who love martial arts, Japanese and foreigners alike! Drinks are about ¥500 and they have live music occasionally.
Located in Naha.
