Shinjuku

If you're looking for some of the best Chinese restaurants in Shinjuku, here are 5 good options that are mostly cheap and have a great atmosphere too.

Feel free to follow favy!

Zuienbekkan 随園別館

Zuienbekkan has been in Shinjuku since 1963 and is considered one of the best around. It has a really nice authentic Chinese atmosphere; many tables are traditional round, turning ones. It's good yet quite cheap too. The specialty is Beijing cuisine, gyozas, and dim sums.
Located near the Shinjuku Sanchome Station.

Shanghai Xiaochi 上海小吃

Shanghai is a bit in a grungy part of Kabukicho so you might be hesitant to walk in but if you're just looking for some tasty yet cheap Chinese cuisine you won't be disappointed because this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Shinjuku according to many online reviews. The clam ("hamaguri") stir-fry is a popular option. There are so many interesting menu items aside from that. You can even have insects. Perhaps above all it's the grungy atmosphere that adds a unique appeal!

Roben Gyozakan 老辺餃子館

This is a gyoza restaurant that is particularly popular for its pan-fried gyozas that are served with a perfect crust. You can also have some suigyoza (steamed gyoza) and gyozas that you cook in a pot at your table. The mabo tofu is said to be really nice also.
On a 3rd floor, near the South Exit of Shinjuku.

全聚徳

This is another restaurant specializing in Beijin cuisine. The signature dish here is the Pekin duck. For lunch, expect to pay between ¥1,000 and ¥2,000, but for dinner, it can be quite expensive (going up to ¥10,000 and more) if you choose the more high-end menu items and courses. There is also a 10% table charge for dinner. The resto has a stylish Chinese atmosphere.
Near the Shinjuku Sanchome Station or the east exit of the Shinjuku Station.

Chinese Cafe 8 中国茶房8

Chinese Cafe 8 has a couple of locations across Tokyo. It is a cheap Izakaya open 24h that gets lively at night. They have some enkai (feast) courses from ¥1,880 to ¥4,980 to which you can add a two hours all-you-can-drink option for an extra ¥1,500.
