This is a small sushi and sake bar of just 10 places located a 5-minute walk from Karasumaoike station. They offer all kinds of warm sakes to pair with your exquisite sushi. The place is relatively high-end so expect to pay around ¥6,000 or more per person.
Near Karasuma station, there is this great affordable sake bar. The place has only 12 seats (8 counter seats and one 4-seat table) and a simple, relaxing authentic interior with a nice wooden counter. Expect to pay around ¥2,000 and ¥3,000. This is also a good place to try shochu (Japanese spirit).
This is the place to go for affordability and excellent quality of both sake and traditional side dishes such as sashimi, stews or dumplings.
