Beautiful Kiyose City

Kiyose Himawari (Sunflower) Festival is the largest of it's kind in the Tokyo area. With around 100,000 sunflowers in a space covering almost 24,000 square metres, Kiyose Sunflower Festival is totally Instagram worthy!
The space was originally a wheat farm but soon became so popular for the beautiful blooming sunflowers that the idea stuck and this year they are running the 10th Annual Himawari Festival.
This landscape provides visitors, families, Instagramers, and photographers the perfect opportunity to snap some beautiful pictures and experience flowers at their full bloom in close proximity to the heart of Tokyo.
To get here take the express train from Ikebukuro station going towards Hibarigaoka and get off at Kiyose station. From there you can catch a bus to the sunflower fields. The event is run from August 17th until August 27th.
